The depiction of numerous children in the painting illustrates the wish for many descendants to continue the family lineage. Their joyful play expresses a wish for peace and happiness. One child riding on a deer (tuần lộc) implies a wish for abundant blessings and prosperity.

The third group of children, starting from the left, shows a child being carried in a palanquin like an official or a high-ranking noble, representing a wish for high status and significant power.

Among the two groups of children in the middle, one child uses a lotus flower as a parasol to shield another. The ritual of using a parasol was traditionally reserved for high-ranking officials, and the lotus flower symbolizes enduring and everlasting goodness.

In the group on the right, the boy at the top is opening a box from which a three-legged toad is jumping out. This image symbolizes a wish for the children to achieve success in their studies and examinations.
