” Môn Thần “ are deities believed to possess the remarkable ability to prevent, threaten, and control malevolent spirits and ghosts. Furthermore, they can also prevent evil spirits from invading homes and causing misfortune to people, such as illness and business failure. Therefore, since ancient times, Door Gods have held a very important position in folk beliefs.

These deities are represented in various forms of worship, sometimes simply as a painting, a statue, an image of a tiger’s face holding a tin ring in its mouth, a wooden figure made of peach wood, a round or octagonal mirror with a Bagua diagram painted on it. However, all these forms share the common purpose of increasing the positive energy (yang qi) of the house, dispelling bad luck, enhancing good fortune for the homeowner, and thereby bringing about career success and family peace.
